About
“I create art without active thought, allowing each work to emerge directly from instinct and intuition. My paintings are a process of transmuting energy—a way for the inner self to express what words cannot. They explore the release of self-consciousness and a return to the essence of creation, revealing the beauty inherent in that pure, unmediated act.”
Angela Su (b. 1990) is a self-directed visual artist based in Southern California. A lifelong creative, she began drawing in childhood and received her first art award while in grade school. In 2021, she shifted her focus to painting, allowing her practice to develop intuitively rather than conceptually.
Her work is created without narrative or premeditation, emphasizing presence, gesture, and the physical act of making. Rather than offering meaning or interpretation, the paintings invite direct experience.
Her work has been included in international gallery and museum exhibitions.
